Spongebob Squarepant’s first ever TV movie, Spongebob Squarepants Atlantis Squarepantis first premiered on November 17th, 2007 following a Spongebob marathon. The TV movie was viewed by 8.8 million people, the biggest audience the show had seen in it’s eight-year history.

Pop star David Bowie was a special guest on Spongebob’s first movie, playing the part of Lord Royal Highness.
